The Frame-up and Killing of a Person Not Proven Responsible by any Facts.

By: D C Graham

Earl Bramblett was a strange man and for that strangeness he was framed for a crime he did not commit and executed for it. The crime was the murders of the Hodges family, a husband, wife and their two daughters, ages eleven and three. The crime happened in the fall of 1994 in the small town of Vinton, Virginia. It was, or should have been, obvious that whoever killed them was full of fury, anger so strong that it spilled over into killing innocent children and their mother set on fire after strangling her.
Earl Bramblett was the likely person of interest because he was the only long time acquaintance the family had. The father had lost his job months back because he pilfered money from his employer, the United States Post Office. Since that time he had not found any other job and his six months jail punishment in a federal penitentiary was to begin in two weeks. Bramblett kept the family afloat by giving the husband a complete printing outfit, but instead of setting it up, sold it to a church in another state. Even after that Bramblett kept the family in food by bringing roasts and steaks and other foodstuffs. Bramblett even paid for the eleven year olds dance lessons and had given the mother two hundred dollars to buy new school clothes for the eleven year old because she was attending a new school the Monday after the Sunday night they were found murdered.
The law enforcement did very little investigating in the case and focused on Bramblett the morning they were found murdered. The lead investigator went to Bramblett's place of employment early on Monday morning but he kept this hush-hush because he lied and said he thought it was a murder/suicide until the medical examiner told him different. This was just one of the many lies Barry Keesee would tell throughout the investigation and under oath on the witness stand. He also testified that Bramblett was the only suspect. That's how much investigation went into this case.
I have maintained a website http://allamosa.com for the last ten years accusing these people of murdering an innocent person and not one of the ones I point the finger at has had whatever it takes to discuss any facts I have shown in this story. I have even written a fictionalized book about the case and the events leading up to the murders. http://smokeandmurders.com The story is true as to the murders and the shoddy police work and lies by the Commonwealth Attorney of Roanoke County F.W. Skip Burkart that convicted this innocent man. If there is any justice in this country, these people will be exposed as the murderers they are for framing and executing Earl Bramblett.
