Nokia To Introduce Free Navigation App

By: George Keller

It appears Google is getting copied in all the things. Microsoft followed Google and came out with Bing, which I hear is doing quite well. To put it accurately, like Googling, a new word 'Binging' is created for Bing. Though I personally prefer to choose Google. Only its background is all I like regarding Bing (in case you didn't know, Bing is coming in place of Google on iPhones). Another service of Google that is being replicated is free navigational service. Now Nokia too on its way to add free navigational service via the Ovi app.

Nokia's Free Navigational App Includes:
Google navigational facility is free only in US where as Nokia would have its services free worldwide. According to the given details, this function is going to be accessible in 180 countries with Voice Guidance available in 74 countries and traffic info for 10 countries.

The options surely look good and may add value to the existing Nokia market. This is again a competition to Google which had recently powered the Droid phone with its free navigational features. And the fact that Nokia app has more uses, it makes the competition even harder for Google.
Nokia cell phone users can download the app from the official site of Nokia. Right now, the app is available for download for just a few of Nokia models. However, in near future all Nokia cell phones will have the access to Ovi apps.

This will also serve Nokia get back the sales it has been losing recently. It’s time for Nokia to come back in the market. Having said, you can never predict when other Smartphone manufacturer will turn up with something even more useful and counter back Nokia. Until then, let's see how good the new feature of Nokia does in the market and among its customers and prospects.
