Ever since Google has entered the cell phone industry with the introduction of Nexus One, Apple Google rivalry seems to become worse. At present Google is the default search engine on iPhones. News is, now this may not be the case. Most probably Apple will team up with Microsoft and set Bing as the default search engine for iPhone users. For those who remain uncertain what Bing is: Bing like google is a search engine from Microsoft. What sets Bing apart from other search engines like Yahoo, Google is its visual functions. The background of the Bing home page is changing frequently and you will find data provided in regards to the picture and things linked to it. However, the search results are not that good as compared to Google. Nevertheless, one should surely take a look at Bing for its graphics (Personally, I use BIng only for its homepage). Getting back to our topic, Bing may replace Google on iPhones. This will likely be a huge loss to Google and a big gain to Microsoft. A while ago Google and Apple were two biggies of two different sectors. but now Google has entered the Mobile market and may be in future it might also give hard competition to Apple. (Though at present there isn't any Smartphone which is as famous as iPhone. You would say Blackberry, but it provides services to a specific segment as opposed to iPhone that is desired by everyone.) The guys at this iphone blog say if change inthe search engine takes place, Microsoft may become the majorsearch engine and will overtake Google. Not sure what they mean by ‘overtake’: Only for iPhone people or will it also affect the usage routine on Desktops and Netbooks. Incase that occurs, that will be news. After all these years of being accustomed to Google, will moving on to Bing feel okay? I do know I just said I like Bing but not as much as Google.
