In the recent periods, there have been few inventions In the tech market for the physically challenged. The latest of those inventions is a touchscreen phone for those with no ability to speak and hear. How Does The Phone Function? This phone has two pillars that slide out and open into a touchscreen. When someone who can not speak types in the words, the device changes the text into voice and sends it to the called person. And from the receiving end, when the called person talks out something, the voice is converted into text and sent across. The second round course of action is similar to speech-to-text recognition. This makes communication a lot better for those with hearing problems. One more similar app for these unique people is the Braille Reader introduced a while back by Nokia. The Brialle Reader is for those who are visually inable. the device facilitates them use the SMS service properly. The Phone makes use of vibration as a mode to identify the characters and then changes those into Braille form; thus, making it possible for the person read the text. This app was out available in the market download in October 2009 and is compatible with a couple of Nokia phones. Yet one more addition on the list is the Panasonic Robotic Bed cum Wheelchair. This Robotic Bed is designed such that it may be changed into a wheel chair whenever needed. And all this- converting from Bed to chair, and chair to Bed doesn't require help. That's physically challenged can help himself/herself in moving forward the wheelchair from one corner of the house to yet another place, and using the chair as the Bed when they want to rest. This is surely an excellent concept which makes the physically challenged independant. Hopefully in future we get to see lots of such inventions and devices which reduce the gap between the fortunate and the unfortunate, and make technology a bliss for many.
